I believe in . . .

Fiscal Responsibility

• Every penny in city government coffers belongs to you, the taxpayers, of West Jordan.
• "Fiscal Responsibility" means prioritizing and funding essential services and projects before considering any others.
• I will use this principle in casting my vote for all items requiring the expenditure of public funds.

Government Accountability

• Revenues collected for specific purposes should be used for those purposes - not drained away by excessive administrative costs or diverted to other projects.
• I will work towards providing the public and council with access to easy-to-read, transparent budgets and financial.

Balanced Development & Sustainable Growth

• Development should follow the guidelines of the City General and Strategic Plans, without modification for single interests.
• My primary goal will be to ensure that West Jordan will be an even better place to live, work, shop and play for everyone.

Community Involvement

• Community involvement is the lifeblood of West Jordan.
• Community councils, citizen committees and volunteer efforts should be encouraged.
• I will remain open-minded while listening to contituents' concerns.

Other Issues

• Change in Form of Government.
  • Let residents decide whether to retain our current Council/Manager form of government, or change to another form with the mayor as CEO of our city. 
  • I will vote to place the measure on the ballot to allow our citizens to decide for themselves.
• Transportation and Road Repairs.
  • Can be accomplished by prioritization, proper planning, and adequate project funding.
  • I will move to hold the city accountable to use allocated tax funds for the purposes they were initially imposed.
• Preservation of Open Space.
  • Can be accomplished by prioritization, proper planning, and judicious use of dedicated capital projects funds.
  • As your at-large representative I will work towards ensuring that preservation of open space is addressed city-wide, not favoring one area over another.
